What you need to know
Hours of the programme are 8am (approximately) to 5pm. The programme will run initially on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Pickups will start at 8am and an exact time will be provided based on pickup schedule and location. Drop offs will be completed around 5pm. Cost of pickup and drop off is included in the daily rate (within Napier/Hastings/Havelock North area – this can be confirmed based on information provided in your expression of interest)
Cost of the programme is $80 per day or $50 for a half day. This can be paid out of your NASC allocation (Carer Support or Individualised Funding) as respite. We can provide assistance on working with the NASC on an appropriate package.
An invoice can be provided on request and payment is required on confirmation of your place. Preference is given to those attending each day, and individual days can be accommodated if staffing allows, at least initially. We expect more flexibility in Term 2 as we move to five days and more support workers.
Most activities are included in the daily rate. Participants can bring along extra cash if they want for some activities (eg TimeZone) or purchases. A text will be sent out the night before reminding participants what they are doing and what they need to bring.
Vaccine Passes will be required for all attendees initially. In Term 2 there may be an option for those unvaccinated or with an exemption to be part of the group that attends activities that do not have this requirement for entry. For more information, or to express interest in this option, please talk to Kristina.
It is difficult to cater for the various dietary needs of such a diverse group. Lunch, snacks and drinks should be provided or funds to purchase these. On Wednesdays a shared lunch will be provided. Please provide details of any allergies or dietary requirements.
An entry interview will be scheduled to allow us to meet the needs of those attending, and Person-centered planning will be undertaken with each participant. Person centered planning assists individuals, families and their support networks to plan positive futures. You can learn more here.
Health and Medical. Please complete the requested health declaration and indicate any condition that may prevent the participant from full engaging in the planned activities.
